We are opening a new direction: support through the regranting policy
The public organization "PTAHA” is introducing a new regranting policy from 2025 - a systematic approach to supporting local initiatives that help the most vulnerable categories of the population affected by the war.
We have been working in the humanitarian sector since the first days of the full-scale invasion. And during this time we have repeatedly seen that real change is happening at the community level, where local organizations, volunteer initiatives and temporary accommodation facilities support those who are most in need every day. At the same time, many of them do not have constant access to resources or funding to implement the necessary changes: to equip space, provide basic needs, create a safe environment for living and developing. It is precisely in order to strengthen the potential of such initiatives that we have introduced a regranting policy.
🔹 What is regranting?
Regranting is a mechanism by which our organization, having received funds from donors, can officially transfer them to other organizations, communities or initiatives for the implementation of targeted projects.
This allows us to:
quickly respond to needs in communities;
support initiatives that are "on the front lines" but do not have access to large grant programs;
develop partnerships on the ground;
form a flexible but transparent system of interaction between organizations.
Each project that receives support will be accompanied by clear conditions, reporting and mentoring support from us.
🔹 What exactly do we plan to support?
Our support focuses on practical, need-based initiatives, including:
✅ Creating a barrier-free environment in shelters and MTPs;
✅ Creating specialized rooms for children with autism, ADHD, and psycho-emotional disorders;
✅ Purchasing household and medical equipment to ensure decent living conditions;
✅ Providing temporary housing for evacuees;
✅ Carrying out repairs in bathrooms, kitchens, and living rooms;
✅ Creating a safe space for learning, art therapy, games, and communication.
We have already received dozens of requests from communities: someone asks to equip a room for teenagers with disabilities, someone asks to replace the door in the center, where 30 evacuees live. Each such request is a real pain, and at the same time, a source of hope.
🔹 How does the mechanism work?
The regranting policy provides for:
Announcing competitions for mini-grants (sometimes - targeted grants upon request).
Submitting an application (organizations or institutions fill out a form with a description of the problem, project, budget).
Evaluation of applications by an independent commission.
Signing a grant agreement and allocating funds.
Project implementation - with the support of the "PTAHA” team.
Reporting and dissemination of results.
Of all allocated funds, 85% is directed directly to support local projects, and 15% - covers the costs of administration, monitoring and ensuring transparency of the program by our organization.
🔹 Who can apply?
Temporary accommodation facilities (state or municipal);
Charitable or public organizations working with IDPs, people with disabilities, children, victims;
Initiative groups with the support of a legal entity;
Educational, social protection, medical institutions - with the support of public partners.
🔹 How to apply?
To submit an application or receive a consultation, please contact our e-mail:
Also, upon request, we will send:
examples of completed applications;
budget template;
reporting requirements;
detailed Regranting Policy in PDF.
🤝 We are open to partnership
The regranting policy is not just a procedure. It is our trust in people on the ground. It is our way of saying: we see your work, your care, your efforts. And we want to help you help others.
If you have a resource - join as a donor. If you have a need - submit a request. If you have an idea - do not keep it to yourself.
Together we are building Ukraine, where even in the most difficult conditions humanity is not lost.
With respect,
The team of the NGO "PTAHA”
